II. Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting and implementing communications activities (mostly focused on Internal Communications & CSR activities) to achieve the short and long-term growth of GM Vietnam in the local automotive industry.

Local & Regional

- Support – together with agency and regional team - the media material preparation (if required)

 - Provide logistical support for external communications activities (media test drives, product launches, media interactions, etc.)

- Manage agency for the content on MOL page – the official media portal website for Vietnam’s market

Internal Communications

- Develop and implement internal communication activities to build up company culture and engage employees, cooperate with HR function and integrate with regional communications: Newsletter, Bulletin board, WebChat, All-employee meeting, Leadership messages

- Engage agency to support the messaging preparation and alignment with the regional approach

- Update GM Vietnam activities on regional internal communication channels

CSR activities

Local & Regional

- Support and implement CSR activities to serve and improve the communities in which we live and work in Vietnam and around the world

- Work with local and regional legal and government affairs personnel to get approval for these activities

 - Leverage and implement global CSR initiatives

- Engage employees and dealers to participate in these activities

IV. Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Competencies

 

Knowledge:

  • Wide knowledge of PR & Communication
  • Understand Vietnam automotive industry
  • Understand Vietnam media organization (automotive, digital, lifestyle)
  • Has shown an interest for internal Comm’s and CSR projects

Skills:

  • Excellent spoken and written communication in Vietnamese
  • Fluent spoken and written in English;
  • Creative thinking;
  • Ability to work under pressure and toward deadlines
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Assertive- confident in speaking with senior management, both local and non-locals
  • Dynamic personality- energetic and enthusiastic
  • Ability to operate in different time zones and cultures

Experience/Education:

  • BA in PR / Communications
  • At least 03 years in equivalent position
  • Working in automobile industry is preferred
  • Experience in a multinational company is preferred
